Cloud & AI Hub (ai-and-cloud.com), operated by CodeBead LLC, is an open, ad-supported reference for people who build and operate cloud and AI systems — developers, architects, platform and security engineers, and anyone learning the field. It is a free, no-accounts, no-tracking resource: a glossary of 400+ terms, side-by-side comparisons, learning paths, reference architectures, and interactive calculators.

What makes the content different

Most technical glossaries stop at a one-line definition. Every entry here is written to a deliberate practitioner standard that answers the questions a definition alone never does:

• A plain-English explanation of what the thing actually is.
• When to use it — and when it is overkill.
• The cost and operational reality, not just the marketing pitch.
• What people get wrong: the failure modes that bite teams in production.
• A link to an authoritative primary source (official docs, an RFC, or the original paper).

How entries are written and reviewed

Entries are drafted from primary documentation and established engineering practice, then checked against a source of record — vendor documentation, IETF RFCs, OWASP guidance, NIST publications, and foundational papers — which is cited at the bottom of each page. Content is reviewed periodically because cloud and AI terminology changes quickly; where a topic has shifted (a deprecated feature, a renamed service, a new best practice), the entry reflects the current state and says so.
